Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 premade thin pizza crust (9–12 inch)

Apple Topping

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup packed coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 3 Honeycrisp apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the premade thin pizza crust on a round baking sheet to prepare for baking.
  2. Cook Apples: In a small pot over medium heat, combine the softened butter, coconut sugar, and lemon juice. Stir continuously as the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the peeled and thinly sliced apples to the pot, coating them thoroughly in the buttery sugar mixture. Cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until the apples soften slightly.
  3. Assemble and Bake Pizza: Arrange the cooked apples evenly over the pizza crust, making sure to drizzle all the buttery sugar mixture from the pot over the apples. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon evenly on top. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the apple topping is lightly browned and the crust is crispy.
  4. Prepare Glaze: While the pizza cools for about 5 minutes after baking, whisk together the powdered sugar with 1 to 2 tablespoons of whole milk until smooth and pourable to create a sweet glaze.
  5. Serve: Drizzle the glaze over the warm apple pizza, slice it into desired portions, and serve immediately for a warm, delicious dessert.

Notes

  • You can substitute coconut sugar with brown sugar for a slightly different flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of milk in the glaze for desired thickness.
  • Use Honeycrisp apples or any sweet-tart variety for best results.
  • Ensure the pizza crust is thin to achieve a crispy base beneath the soft apples.
  • Let the pizza cool slightly before glazing to prevent the glaze from melting off.
