  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) honey
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Flakey sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pie Crust: Place pie crust in a deep dish 8-inch or 9-inch pie pan, refrigerate. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Beat Egg Yolks: In a large bowl, lightly beat egg yolks and set aside.
  3. Make Filling: In a saucepan, heat cream, brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt until boiling and thickened.
  4. Temper Eggs: Slowly add cream mixture to eggs, whisking, then combine all.
  5. Add Flavor: Stir in honey and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour and Bake: Pour filling into chilled crust, bake for 40-45 minutes until set.
  7. Cool and Chill: Let pie cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until firm.
