Ingredients

Scale

Cream Base

  • 1 and 1/2 cups (360ml) heavy cream, half-and-half, or whole milk

Pumpkin Flavor

  • 2 heaping Tablespoons (about 35g) pumpkin puree
  • 2 Tablespoons (30ml) pure maple syrup (or more, if you prefer sweeter creamer)
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons store-bought or homemade pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the heavy cream (or your chosen dairy), pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice until well blended.
  2. Add Cinnamon Sticks and Heat: Add the cinnamon sticks to the mixture, then increase the heat to medium-high.
  3. Boil Mixture: Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking occasionally. Let it boil for 1 full minute to allow the flavors to meld together.
  4. Cool the Creamer: Remove the pan from heat and let the creamer cool in the pan for 5 minutes to deepen the flavors.
  5. Strain if Needed: If the creamer appears separated or has any solids, pour it through a fine-mesh sieve to achieve a smooth texture.
  6. Use or Store: Use the creamer immediately by adding it to your coffee, or store leftover creamer (without the cinnamon sticks) in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use.
  7. Optional Serving Suggestions: Add sugar to taste if you prefer a sweeter coffee, or top your coffee with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice for an extra festive touch.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk for a lighter option, though the creamer will be less rich.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup according to your preference.
  • Store the creamer without cinnamon sticks to prevent overpowering flavor during storage.
  • Shake the creamer well before each use to re-emulsify any separation.
  • For homemade pumpkin pie spice, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and allspice.
