  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk (warmed to 110°F)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)

Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 1 beaten egg, for brushing the tops
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Lightly butter the pan: Butter a 9×13 pan and set aside.
  2. Prepare garlic butter: Melt butter, add minced garlic, cook until fragrant, then set aside to cool.
  3. Mix dough: Combine dry ingredients in a mixer bowl, add milk, egg, and garlic butter. Knead until smooth.
  4. Shape dough: Divide into 12 portions, shape into balls, place in pan to rise for 1-2 hours.
  5. Preheat and bake: Preheat oven, brush rolls with egg wash, bake until golden brown.
  6. Make garlic butter topping: Melt butter, sauté garlic, add parsley. Brush rolls with garlic butter after baking. Serve warm.
