Wonton Chips
- 30 wonton wrappers (sliced diagonally into triangles)
- Kosher salt (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black sesame seeds (optional)
Cream Cheese Sauce
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 5 tablespoons heavy cream
- 3/4 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 green onions (thinly sliced, divided)
Assembly & Garnish
- 1 2/3 cups imitation crab meat (chopped)
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons garlic chili oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Arrange Wonton Wrappers: Arrange the sliced wonton triangles in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray and sprinkle with kosher salt and black sesame seeds if using.
- Bake Chips: Bake the wonton wrappers in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes, or until they turn lightly browned and crispy. Remove from the oven and transfer the chips to a serving platter.
- Whisk Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together softened cream cheese, heavy cream, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, powdered sugar, and garlic powder until smooth and creamy. Fold in most of the sliced green onions, reserving some for garnish.
- Assemble Nachos: Evenly spread the cream cheese sauce over the baked wonton chips. Sprinkle the chopped imitation crab meat evenly on top of the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Drizzle sweet chili sauce and garlic chili oil evenly over the loaded chips. Garnish with the remaining green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For extra crunch, watch the wonton wrappers closely while baking to avoid burning.
- Substitute real crab meat for imitation crab for a more authentic flavor.
- Adjust the amount of chili sauces to your desired spice level.
- Serve immediately to maintain chip crispness; leftovers may become soggy.
