Ingredients

Scale

Donut Batter

  • 2 cups Cotton Candy Sugar Cookie Mix (Betty Crocker)
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ⅓ cup Cotton Candy Greek Yogurt (Danimals)

Glaze

  • 5 Tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Cotton Candy Flavor Mix (Duncan Hines)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a mini donut pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the cotton candy sugar cookie mix, baking soda, and salt ensuring they are evenly combined.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and cotton candy Greek yogurt to the dry mixture. Stir all ingredients together until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  4. Pipe Batter into Pan: Transfer the batter into a zip-top bag, snip off a corner to create a piping bag, then carefully pipe the batter into each donut mold, filling each about halfway.
  5. Bake the Donuts: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 7-8 minutes or until the donuts have turned golden brown.
  6. Cool Donuts: Let the donuts cool in the pan for 3 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Prepare the Glaze: In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the milk, vanilla, and cotton candy flavor mix until the mixture is warm but not boiling. Remove from heat.
  8. Mix Glaze: Sift the powdered sugar into the warm milk mixture and whisk vigorously until the glaze is smooth and lump-free.
  9. Glaze and Decorate Donuts: Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, then immediately top with sprinkles. Set aside for 5 minutes to allow the glaze to set before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure donuts cool completely before glazing to prevent melting the glaze.
  • Using a piping bag helps to fill donut molds evenly for uniform donut shapes.
  • Sprinkles add a festive touch but can be omitted or substituted with other toppings.
  • Donuts are best eaten fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
