Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder
  • 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup hemp hearts or flax meal
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Wet Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the old fashioned oats, chocolate protein powder, unsweetened cocoa powder, hemp hearts or flax meal, and mini chocolate chips. Add the creamy peanut butter and honey, then mix thoroughly until everything is well blended and the mixture starts to stick together.
  2. Form Balls: Using your hands, portion the mixture into about 30 equal pieces. Roll each portion between your palms to form smooth, round balls.
  3. Chill: Place the formed protein balls on a baking sheet or tray. Refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes or until they are firm and set.
  4. Store Properly: Once set, transfer the protein balls to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

  • You can substitute almond butter or sunflower seed butter for peanut butter if preferred.
  • For a vegan version, use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey according to taste.
  • Feel free to add other mix-ins such as chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
  • If the mixture is too dry, add a little more peanut butter or a splash of milk.
