  • 12 tablespoons chocolate chip cookie dough (see note)

  2. Step 2: Scoop out 2 tablespoons of cookie dough per croissant and flatten it out slightly. Press it into the inside of the croissant.

  4. Step 4: Scoop out 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten it out. Place the cookie dough on the top of each croissant.

Tips & Variations

  • Use room temperature cookie dough for easier shaping and even cooking.
  • Try adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top before air frying for a sweet-salty twist.
  • Swap chocolate chip cookie dough for peanut butter or oatmeal cookie dough for different flavors.

Storage

Store any leftover crookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer at 300 degrees for 2 minutes to restore crispness without drying them out.

How to Serve

Three croissants are placed on a dark grid surface. Each croissant is golden brown with a flaky texture showing multiple layers. They are topped and filled with a beige, bubbly, soft cookie dough that has darker chocolate chips mixed inside. The cookie dough spills unevenly over the croissants, creating a rough, lumpy look on top and between the layers of the pastry. Photo taken with an iphone --ar 4:5 --v 7

FAQs

Can I use frozen cookie dough for this recipe?

Small to medium-sized croissants are ideal, as they cook evenly and hold the cookie dough filling well without becoming too bulky.
