These 2 Ingredient Bread Bites are a quick and flavorful snack made from self-raising flour and Greek yoghurt, coated in a spicy garlicky mix and air-fried to golden perfection. Served with a creamy sriracha mayo dipping sauce, they are perfect for a tasty bite any time of the day.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 200 g self-raising flour
  • 100 g Greek yoghurt

Spicy Garlicky Coating

  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes (preferably gochugaru for finer texture)
  • 1 tbsp garlic flakes or granules
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Combine the self-raising flour and Greek yoghurt in a bowl. Mix with a spoon until a rough dough forms. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for a couple of minutes until the dough is soft and bouncy. Add more flour if the dough sticks to your hands. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the Coating: While the dough rests, combine the chilli flakes, garlic flakes or granules, sea salt, sugar, and black pepper on a plate or shallow bowl to create your spicy garlicky coating.
  3. Shape and Coat: Slice the rested dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then coat each ball thoroughly with the spicy garlicky mixture, ensuring each is well covered.
  4. Air Fry: Place the coated dough balls into your air fryer and cook at 180°C (356°F) for 8 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  5. Prepare the Dipping Sauce: While the bites are air frying, mix the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Serve: Remove the bread bites from the air fryer. Serve them hot with the sriracha mayo dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use self-raising flour for the best rise and texture; plain flour will require added baking powder.
  • If dough is too sticky, gradually add flour while kneading until manageable.
  • Gochugaru (Korean chilli flakes) give a milder, smokier heat; substitute with regular chilli flakes if unavailable.
  • Adjust the spiciness of the coating and dipping sauce by adding more or less chilli flakes and sriracha to taste.
  • The air fryer cooking time may vary depending on your model; check for golden color and cook longer if necessary.
  • These bread bites are best enjoyed fresh and warm.
