A creamy and flavorful sauce for ravioli that combines garlic, tomato paste, chicken broth, and cream, finished with parmigiano reggiano and fresh basil. Perfect for a quick and delicious pasta dinner.

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano, or to taste
  • 5 leaves fresh basil, chopped
  • Sea salt and black pepper, to taste

Additional:

  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated ravioli, prepared according to package directions

Instructions

  1. Heat butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until garlic becomes lightly golden and fragrant. Add tomato paste and red pepper flakes and stir together for another minute.
  2. Add chicken broth and stir until combined, bring to a simmer. Add cream and stir until smooth.
  3. Add parmigiano reggiano and salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. Remove from heat and add fresh basil, stirring until well combined.
  5. Gently toss with prepared ravioli and serve immediately.
