French Toast
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1 loaf French Bread, sliced
- 2 15 ounce cans Libby’s Sliced Peaches
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup half & half
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Streusel Topping
- 6 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- Prepare Brown Sugar Mixture: Combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan. Heat over medium until blended, stirring frequently. Pour into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Layer French Toast: Arrange bread slices over brown sugar mixture in the pan. Drain peaches and spread them over the bread slices.
- Mix Custard: In a bowl, combine milk, half & half, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Whisk until blended. Pour over peaches.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate the assembled dish for several hours or overnight.
- Prepare Streusel Topping: Combine softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the French toast.
