Cheese Sticks:

  • 6 mozzarella sticks (200g), halved

Breading:

  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ½ cup (56g) almond flour
  • ½ cup (45g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 tbsp (7–14g) coconut flour
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prep Cheese: Cut mozzarella sticks in half and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  2. Breading Station: In one bowl, beat egg. In another, mix almond flour, parmesan, coconut flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Coat Sticks: Dip each frozen stick in egg, then roll in flour mixture. Repeat for a thicker crust.
  4. Freeze Again: Place breaded sticks on a tray and freeze for 30–60 minutes.
  5. Cook:
    1. Air Fryer: Preheat to 390°F and cook for 5–6 minutes.
    2. Oven: Preheat to 400°F and bake for 8–10 minutes.
    3. Fry: Shallow fry in oil until golden and crisp.
  6. Let cool briefly and serve with low-carb marinara.
