Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare baking tray: Line a baking tray with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking the pastry twists.
  2. Spread cream cheese on puff pastry: Roll out the sheet of puff pastry and evenly spread the softened cream cheese over the entire surface to create a creamy base layer.
  3. Add bacon, jalapeños, and cheddar: Sprinkle the chopped bacon pieces, chopped jalapeños, and 100 g of cheddar cheese evenly over the cream cheese. Then fold the puff pastry sheet in half carefully and gently press down to seal the filling inside.
  4. Slice and twist strips: Using a sharp knife, cut the folded pastry into lengthwise strips roughly 1 cm thick. Twist each strip several times to create a spiral shape and place them spaced out on the prepared baking tray.
