Ingredients

Scale

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup Parmesan cheese (grated, divided)
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Vegetables & Seasonings

  • 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • ¾1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 ounces sautéed spinach (previously frozen)
  • 14 ounces can artichoke hearts (drained, finely chopped)
  • 8 ounces can water chestnuts (drained, finely diced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Mix the Cheeses: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly with a spatula until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Drain Spinach: Thaw the previously frozen spinach completely and drain it well using a cheesecloth to remove excess moisture, ensuring your dip is not watery.
  4. Combine Remaining Ingredients: Add the well-drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, and finely diced water chestnuts into the cheese mixture. Stir everything together until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  5. Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray a 7 x 9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Pour the combined mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Add Topping: Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the mixture to create a golden crust when baked.
  7. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top turns lightly golden and the dip is bubbling around the edges.
  8. Broil (Optional): For an extra golden and slightly crispy top, broil the dip on high for 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  9. Serve: Remove from oven and serve immediately with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping. Enjoy warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Ensure the spinach is well drained to avoid excess moisture in the dip.
  • You can substitute fresh spinach by sautéing it and letting it cool completely before use.
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste depending on your preference.
  • The optional broiling step adds a beautifully browned crust but can be skipped for a softer top.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking; just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if chilled.
