Waffle Stuffing:

  • 1 15 ounce can of chili
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese – shredded
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)
  • ½ cup green onions – sliced (optional)
  • Favorite hot sauce or additional taco toppings

Instructions

  1. Cornbread Batter: In a large bowl, prepare the cornbread batter following the package instructions.
  2. Prepare Waffle Stuffing: Gather cheese, chili, onions, and any desired toppings for the waffle stuffing.
  3. Preheat Waffle Iron: Preheat the waffle iron for approximately 5 minutes. Do not spray if non-stick.
  4. Assembly: Place a tong ring on the waffle iron after spraying with non-stick cooking spray. Pour ¼ cup of cornbread batter onto the grid, add cheese, chili, more cheese, and another ¼ cup of batter. Close the waffle iron and bake for 5 minutes.
