Cookie Dough:
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks
- 1 cup dried cherries, chopped
