Sliders
- 9 mini pretzel slider buns (sliced into top buns and bottom buns)
- 4–5 strips bacon
- 16 oz ground pork sausage
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- Pinch of salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- 4 slices Colby Jack cheese
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish or baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Cook Bacon: Heat a large skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Add the bacon strips and cook until they are crisp, then transfer them to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess grease.
- Cook Sausage: Carefully drain off the excess bacon grease from the skillet, leaving about 1 tablespoon in the pan. Add the ground pork sausage and cook over medium heat, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare Scrambled Eggs: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper. Heat a second skillet over medium heat and melt part of the butter. Add the egg mixture and softly scramble the eggs, cooking just until set but still moist.
- Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the pretzel buns in the prepared baking dish. Layer evenly with the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, slices of Colby Jack cheese, and crispy bacon. Top each with the remaining bun halves.
- Make Maple Butter Glaze: Melt the remaining butter in a microwave-safe bowl and stir in the maple syrup until combined. Brush this glaze generously over the tops of the buns to add sweetness and shine.
- Bake Sliders: Bake the assembled sliders uncovered in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are warmed through.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm for a delicious breakfast treat.
Notes
- You can substitute turkey sausage for a lighter option.
- Feel free to add sautéed onions or peppers to the sausage for extra flavor.
- Make sure not to overcook the scrambled eggs to keep them soft and tender.
- Maple syrup glaze can be adjusted to taste or omitted if you prefer a savory slider.
- These sliders are great for batch cooking; reheat in the oven before serving.
