Delightful Blueberry Pie Bombs made with flaky biscuit dough filled with sweet blueberry pie filling, air fried to golden perfection. A quick and easy dessert or snack that’s crispy on the outside and bursting with juicy fruit inside.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuit Dough

  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits (not flaky layers)

Filling

  • 1 cup (262 g) blueberry pie filling (store-bought or homemade)

Topping

  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Separate and Roll Out Biscuits: Remove the biscuits from the can and peel to separate each biscuit into two layers, resulting in 16 thin biscuit circles. Pat each layer into a 4-inch circle.
  2. Add Blueberry Filling: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of blueberry pie filling into the center of each biscuit circle.
  3. Seal and Shape: Fold the dough sides together over the filling, pinching the edges to seal completely. Roll each sealed piece into a smooth ball shape.
  4. Brush with Butter and Sugar: Brush both the tops and bottoms of the dough balls generously with melted butter, then sprinkle with granulated sugar for a sweet, crisp crust.
  5. Prepare Air Fryer Basket: Spray the basket of your air fryer with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the biscuit balls in the air fryer basket, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for even cooking.
  7. Air Fry: Cook the bombs in the air fryer at 330°F for 7-8 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Serve Warm: Carefully remove the blueberry pie bombs and serve warm for a delicious treat.

Notes

  • Ensure biscuits are not flaky layers as they won’t hold the filling well.
  • The blueberry pie filling can be homemade or store-bought depending on preference.
  • Air fryer temperatures may vary; monitor cooking the first time to avoid burning.
  • Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra indulgent dessert.
