Ingredients

Scale

Pie Crust

  • 1 pie crust (9-inch, baked and cooled or homemade)

Peanut Butter Crumbles

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1 (3.4 ounce) box instant Jell-O vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup whipped cream (or 1 cup Cool Whip)

Whipped Cream Topping and Garnish

  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • Remaining peanut butter crumbles (from above)

Instructions

  1. Make Peanut Butter Crumbles: Using an electric mixer in a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar and 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter. Mix on medium speed until small peanut butter crumbles form. If the mixture is too powdery, add a few drops of water until larger nuggets form.
  2. Layer Peanut Butter Crumbles: Place half of the peanut butter crumbles into the bottom of the baked and cooled pie crust, gently spreading them evenly.
  3. Prepare Peanut Butter Filling: In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry instant vanilla pudding mix, milk, and 1/2 cup peanut butter using a mixer for 2 minutes until smooth and thickened.
  4. Add Whipped Cream to Filling: Lightly fold in 1 cup of already whipped cream or Cool Whip into the pudding mixture to keep it light and creamy.
  5. Fill the Pie Crust: Pour the peanut butter pudding filling over the layer of peanut butter crumbles in the pie crust, smoothing the top evenly.
  6. Add Whipped Cream Topping and Crumbles: Spread the remaining 2 cups of whipped cream evenly over the pudding layer. Then sprinkle the remaining peanut butter crumbles on top as desired.
  7. Chill and Set: Refrigerate the pie for at least 1 to 2 hours to allow it to set and chill thoroughly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter for smooth crumbles and filling.
  • If the peanut butter crumb mixture is too dry, add water sparingly to help it come together.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip for whipped cream for convenience.
  • Letting the pie chill longer will help it set firmer for clean slices.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
