Liquid Mixture:
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons honey
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon active-dry yeast*
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- extra melted butter, for brushing on top
- Prep your oven and baking dish. Heat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray, and set aside.
- Heat the liquids. In a microwave-safe bowl (or saucepan), stir together the water and melted butter. Add in the milk and honey, then heat the mixture until it reaches 110°F.
- Add yeast. Sprinkle the yeast over the liquid mixture, let it activate for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add dry ingredients. Mix in 3 1/2 cups of flour and salt.
- Mix. Use a dough hook to mix until smooth. Form dough into a ball and let it rise.
- Form the rolls. Divide dough, shape into balls, and let rise again.
- Bake. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Brush with more butter. Brush with melted butter.
